Global corporate

Our global corporate partners are crucial in reducing our running and expedition costs (for example by providing Land Rover vehicles, high-quality Swarovski optical equipment from or Motorola two-way radios and cellular phones) so that we can spend the lion's share of two-thirds or more of your expedition contribution directly on the project in hand.

They supply Biosphere Expeditions with essential expedition equipment and also assist our expedition team members from the UK in kitting themselves out for the expeditions.

Official equipment supplier Australia: Snowgum, who began designing and producing outdoor clothing and equipment in 1974, is Biosphere Expeditions' official equipment supplier for Australia. They supply Biosphere Expeditions with essential expedition equipmentand also assist our expedition team members from Australia and New Zealand in kitting themselves out for the expeditions.

They also assist our North America-based expedition team members with purchasing their expedition gear.

Stormsaver is the UK market leader in rainwater harvesting. Established in 2003, Stormsaver was created as part of an ambitious plan to develop a sustainable and eco-friendly approach to the growing water supply problems in the UK. Stormsaver has received many accolades for its pioneering work and is committed to innovation in sustainable technologies and sustainable living as a whole. Stormsaver supports Biosphere Expeditions' project in Namibia (where water supply is a serious issue) by providing educational materials and courses for local children as well as scholarship places for local students.

mtc, Namibia's premier mobile phone network operator, is provding support for our large cat project in Namibia. This support, amongst other things, includes SIM cards for our GSM/GPS collars, allowing us to track leopards, cheetahs and caracals using the mobile phone network.

Six Senses

Whatever the affiliate and our arrangement withthem, commissions and perks gained from you using their services willalways be ploughed back into our research and conservation work and tobenefit our local partners wherever possible. For example, we will usecredits accumulated through Amazon to supply our local scientists withbooks and other research materials, or use commissions gained fromflight partners to enable our local scientists to travel to conferencesand other scientific meetings.
