We are looking for the best design for a short-sleeve T-shirt to form the basis for a Biosphere Expeditions clothing range, which will be sold exclusively by Snowgum and part of whose proceeds will be used to support Biosphere Expeditions’ conservation projects across the globe.
Biosphere Expeditions
is an award-winning, non-profit-making organisation offering hands-on
wildlife conservation expeditions as an adventure with a purpose for
everyone. Our projects are not tours, photographic safaris or
excursions, but genuine wildlife expeditions placing ordinary people
with no research experience alongside scientists who are at the
forefront of conservation work. Having said that, our expeditions are
not at all about playing the primitive, neither are we a military style
'boot-camp'. We get the best out of our expedition teams by making them
comfortable, safe and well fed. Our expeditions are open to all, there
are no special skills or fitness required to join and there are no age
limits whatsoever. Our expedition team members are people from all
walks of life, of all ages, looking for an adventure with a conscience
and a sense of purpose.
Snowgum began
designing and producing outdoor clothing and equipment in 1974. For
over 34 years their gear has been the essential traveller's companion -
from the Himalayas to the Sahara, across the Outback, up the Amazon and
down the Nile - visiting every corner of the planet. As they travelled,

The winner has free choice of one of Biosphere Expeditions' wildlife conservation expeditions (lasting two weeks) or projects (lasting one week) worldwide, excluding travel to the in-country assembly point.

All you need to do to enter is come up with a funky design for a T-shirt and submit this to us by 16 April 2010 at the latest.
Here are the details
1. The design should include a strong graphic element incorporating the Biosphere Expeditions logo (no other partner logos need be applied). You can download the Biosphere Expeditions logo from here .
2. The graphic element should reflect what Biosphere Expeditions is all about (surf this website to find out more!) and can cover the entire T-shirt or parts of it. Let your imagination run wild!
3. To enter, you must submit your design in jpg or pdf format, no larger than 5MB. Entries that progress from this first stage onto the next stage may be asked to resubmit a high resolution version of their design. It's no problem to come up with a hand-drawn design, but please make sure you scan it in and submit it in digital jpg or pdf format, no larger than 5MB.
4. Email your entry to ---- with the subject of "Snowgum T-shirt competition".
5. The closing date is 16 April 2010.
The copyright of all designs will remain with their creators at all times, but the creators of the winning design as well as the two runner-ups must transfer unlimited, exclusive, international and free usage rights for all clothing and other commercial items (so-called merchandise) to Biosphere Expeditions and Snowgum.
Entry is open to anyone except employees of Biosphere Expeditions and their immediate families. There is no cash alternative in whole or part and prizes are not transferable. The judges' decision is final. By submitting a design, you accept these terms & conditions.
