Our global corporate partners are crucial in reducing our running and expedition costs (for example by providing Land Rover vehicles, high-quality Swarovski optical equipment from or Motorola two-way radios and cellular phones) so that we can spend the lion's share of two-thirds or more of your expedition contribution directly on the project in hand.
Land Rover, makers of the original outdoor vehicle, provide essential offroad expedition vehicles, sponsorship and other back-up. [more]
Swarovski Optik is a world leader in the manufacture of precision & premium sports optics and supports Biosphere Expeditions with Swarovski binoculars, telescopes, range finders, image intensifiers and optronic devices, as well as sponsorship and other back-up. [more]
Motorola, makers of radio and other communications equipment, provide all important rugged and reliable communication tools such as handheld and vehicle radios, mobile and satellite phones, as well as sponsorship and other communications and logistical in-country back-up.

HSBC is providing much needed support for a unique coral reef study to support Biosphere Expeditions with their ongoing marine conservation work in Oman.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of Six Senses Hideaway at Zighy Bay, Musandam, Oman for our Musandam coral reef project. Through the help of their grant programme, we can run an outreach and education programme aimed at local children and fishermen about the value of marine resources and how to protect them and local livelihoods. We also involve Zighy Bay staff in our research, building capacity and involving people in conservation on a one-to-one level. All this in an effort to give the reefs around the Musandam better protection through education and capacity-building.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of the EOG Association for Conservation for our Caprivi human-predator conflict (HPC) expedition in Namibia. Their grant programme has enabled us to put into place an early warning system that warns local herders of approaching predators such as lions, leopards or hyaenas. This in tandem with our outreach and education programme about animal husbandry techniques has significantly reduced HPC in this area of Africa and thus led to a way for humans and wildlife to coexist.
In November 2007, the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) launched a region-wide campaign aimed at improving and increasing business use of information and communications technology called the takeITon campaign. We gratefully acknowledge support from this campaign.

Biosphere Expeditions also has a network of affiliates. Whatever the affiliate and our arrangement with
them, commissions and perks gained from you using their services will
always be ploughed back into our research and conservation work and to
benefit our local partners wherever possible. For example, we will use
credits accumulated through Amazon to supply our local scientists with
books and other research materials, or use commissions gained from
flight partners to enable our local scientists to travel to conferences
and other scientific meetings.
